Freight transport in systems similar to pneumatic tube mail

In 2013, Elon Musk launched the idea of a “hyperloop” to transport goods and passengers at a speed of 1000 km/h. The idea is based on vacuum tubes where capsules travel without air drag. These ideas have initiated various projects aiming to make the visions come true. One is the company Hyperloop One that has the ambition to launch hyperloop for cargo transport by 2020. The company has raised 100 million USD and will carry out pilot tests in the first quarter of 2017. The hyperloop will be more energy efficient than today’s energy efficient railway system.
